Ghostlight Records' Original Broadway Cast Recording of Newsies has been nominated in the Best Musical Show Album category for the 2013 Grammy Awards! The winner will be announced at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013.
The album was released digitally on April 10 and in stores on May 15. The score features songs from the film by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman — many with new lyrics, counterpoints and arrangements to suit new plot points — and six songs added for the stage, including three written specifically for the Broadway production: "The Bottom Line," "That's Rich" and "Something to Believe In."
